How Do Rent Payments Work?
Your tenant pays rent electronically into a secure, FDIC-insured trust account held at an established financial institution. Once the funds clear, we direct-deposit your rent, less our monthly management fee and any other expenses, into the bank account you designate, along with an itemized owner statement.
How the payment process works
- Tenants pay online. More than 80% of the tenants under our management pay rent electronically through their secure tenant portal, which is the fastest and most reliable way to pay on time.
- Funds are held in a trust account. Rent is paid directly into an FDIC-insured trust account with an established financial institution, kept separate from operating funds.
- You receive your owner draw. Once the funds clear, we deposit the month’s rent, less our management fee and any other expenses, into the bank account you designate.
- Everything is documented. Each disbursement comes with an itemized owner statement, so you always know what was collected, what was deducted, and why.
Why electronic payment matters
Electronic rent collection protects your cash flow. Payments post faster, clear more predictably, and are documented automatically, which means fewer late payments, less back-and-forth, and a clear paper trail for your records. You get paid on a dependable schedule without having to chase anyone or handle checks yourself.
